Executive Cabinet Minutes
Wednesday April 23rd, 2008
Red Room, Great Hall, 8:00 p.m.
I. Call to Order: 8:05 p.m.
1. Approve Minutes: Minutes approved.
2. Attendance: No absences.
II. Senate Motions
1. I, Ginger Rawls, move that Buildings and Grounds Committee look into asking Facility Services to fix the fountain in front of Monroe Hall.
a. Motion fails unanimously.
III. Old Business
1. Care to Share: Let me know if any of your names are incorrect on the email list. If anyone needs housing extensions, let me know. We are currently scheduled for pick-up on Friday at 3:00 p.m. Everyone needs to arrive at 1:00, 2:00 at the latest. We will continue Box Pick Up on Monday at 11:00 and possibly grab lunch afterwards.

1. Presidential Advisory Committee Discussion*
a. Motion passes unanimously.
V. Officer Reports
1. President (Sean O’Brien): Thank you for approving the PAC motion. Have a great summer and good luck on your final exams.
2. Vice-President (Ashley Davis): We finished Constitutional Review today. Pam Lowery will send an email survey to get approval from the student body.
3. JRB (Nicolas Perilla): We got our t-shirts.
4. Honor Council (Quincey Garcia): No report.
5. LAC (Mary Wagoner): The Mayoral Debate Monday went really well. LAC is done for the year.
6. AAC (Colin Turner): There was a full faculty meeting today. I did not attend because I did not know about it. The meeting basically honored this year’s University retirees and voted for student awards given at graduation.
7. CSA (Anum Shaikh): No report.
8. ARH (Amanda Russell): No report.
9. Executive Coordinator (Kasey Walker): Those of you who want to get involved with the planning of this year’s Homecoming, I will be sending an email for hopeful events. We want multi-organizations to be involved.
10. Press Secretary (J.T. Newcomb): No report.
11. Treasurer (Stephen Pierce): I’ll send out an email tonight, sometime before we go home, we should all bond. I tried to meet with Hilda but she cancelled my appointment.
12. Technology Coordinator (Kelly Wuyscik): The website was advertised in the OSACS Weekly Email. Three of you have not sent me your biographies. Let me know if you plan not to so I can figure it out. Good luck on finals.
13. Secretary (Christina Giaimo): Enjoy your eco-friendly agendas.
14. Executive Cabinet DUCC (Natalie Weiner): DUCC passed Senate unanimously.
15. Parliamentarian (Joseph Cirenza): Happy Belated Earth Day. Good luck on your final exams.
16. ICA Representative (Caitlin Varley): Italian Club, Students for a Democratic Society, Pearls, and the Occupational Therapy Club are waiting for approval. Lists of clubs and active members need to be emailed to me by Friday.

Passed: Establishment of Presidential Advisory Committee*
Committee Type:
The committee will be designated as an ad-hoc committee within the Student Government Association Executive Cabinet.
Purpose:
The committee will serve to study issues and make recommendations at the direction of the President of the Student Government Association.
Committee Structure:
Chairperson:
The Chairperson will be responsible for running meetings of the committee, overseeing survey work, and creating reports on issues the committee is tasked to accomplish.
The Chairperson will be appointed by the SGA President and confirmed by a majority vote of eligible voters on Student Government Association Executive Cabinet and will serve at the President’s pleasure. The Committee Chairperson can be recalled by a 2/3rds vote of eligible voters on Student Government Association Executive Cabinet.
The Chairperson should attend Student Government Association Executive Cabinet meetings.
Vice-Chairperson:
The Vice-Chairperson shall be tasked with the Chairperson’s tasks when they are unable to execute them.
The Vice-Chairperson will be elected by members of the Presidential Advisory Committee. The Committee Chair can be recalled by a 2/3rds vote of eligible voters on the Presidential Advisory Committee.
Statistician:
The Statistician will be responsible for conducting and analyzing surveys requested by the SGA President. They shall work will all organizations represented in the Student Government on these issues.
The Statistician will be appointed by the SGA President and confirmed by a majority vote of eligible voters on Student Government Association Executive Cabinet and will serve at the President’s pleasure. The Statistician can be recalled by a 2/3rds vote of eligible voters on Student Government Association Executive Cabinet.
Standing and Membership:
The Presidential Advisory Committee can be dissolved by a majority vote of eligible voters on Student Government Association Executive Cabinet.
The Committee will exist from its creation until the end of the 2008-2009 academic year.
The members of the committee will be selected by the Chairperson in consolation with the SGA President. Each organization in the Student Government Association can designate a representative to the committee.
