Club Carnival is here again! If you’re looking to get involved on campus, be sure to head to Ball Circle tomorrow, Wednesday August 27th, from 4-6PM to meet with representatives from just about every organization on campus. We hope to see you there! In the case of rain, the event will move indoors to the Great Hall.

Come to the welcome walk

Tonight freshman students will participate in the welcome walk to kick off their four years at the University of Mary Washington. The tradition is sponsored by the Judicial Review Board and Honor Council. Part of the ceremony involves the freshman walking through the bell tower in a reverse graduation while upperclassman line campus walk with their devil or goat pennants. I would like to ask you to be there for this years freshman. If you can please meet at the bell tower by 6 pm.

SGA Responds to Crime on and off campus.

After a few incidents of crime in the city the past few weeks the Student Government Association has requested a meeting with UMW administrators about security. That meeting will be forthcoming. We would like to thank the UMW Police, Fredericksburg Police, other agency, and school administrators for their strong efforts to insure student safety.

We will gladly accept clean, not broken, useable…

Clothing and outerwear, accessories, linens and textiles, housewares, electronics, furniture, computers, books and records, sports equipment, office and school supplies, cosmetics, and food.

Sorry, we cannot accept items that are wet, mildewed, rusty, or broken.

Boxes for donation are in the first floor of all residence halls.

A collection for the UMW Apts. will take place on Friday, May 9th from 3-5 pm.
