Sean O’Brien - President
Sean is a senior Political Science major from Wilton, CT. He served as SGA Press Secretary in the 2007-2008 school year and has been involved in the Association of Residence Halls as Executive Treasurer. During his term as Treasurer he helped to bring ARH out of debt and help the association regain respectability. Outside of SGA Sean is active in political campaigns and has spent his last few summers coaching baseball. He is a 2005 graduate of Wilton High School where he played baseball and was involved with student government.

Ashley Davis - Vice President
Ashley Davis is the SGA Vice President. She is also the presiding Senate president. She has been on the Student Senate for the past two years, and SGA for one year. She is a junior Political Science major and is also involved with Students Helping Honduras and IV.

Nicolas Perilla - JRB President
Nick Perilla is a senior Physics major from Springfield VA. He has been a member of the Judicial Review Board since his freshman year and served as Vice President for the 2007 – 2008 academic year. During his time at Mary Wash, Nick worked for residence life as a Resident Assistant and a Building Supervisor. He also served as an Orientation Coordinator during his junior and senior years. Nick is a member of One Note Stand, an acapella group (the best!) on campus. In his free time he enjoys cooking, baking, learning about food, eating, and playing the cello. In his three years as an on campus student, Nick only lived in freshman residence halls so he will graduate never having lived in an upper-class residence hall.

Quincey Garcia- Honor Council President
A biology major and a member of the class of 2009, Quincey Garcia is the President of the Honor Council for the 2008-2009 school year. Quincey is also a member of the UMW choir, and an active member of the Pre-Med Club.

Mary Wagoner - LAC Chair
Mary Wagoner is a junior Political Science and International Affairs major from Oakton, VA. In addition to being chair of LAC, she has also been president of her hall councils and a member of ARH for the past two years, on which she will serve as Historian next year. She is also a member of the Pre-Law Society, the National Residence Hall Honorary, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and plays intramural sports (yeah Pain Train and Comeback Kids!).

Brent Colin Turner - AAC Chair
Brent is a senior Biochemistry major from Roanoke, Virginia. He was the President of his Senior Class and founded an annual scholarship program that he still serves as the chair of. He plans on attending medical school in Virginia after graduating in 2009. He has served as a residence hall President as well as the Executive Secretary of the Association of Residence Halls. Last year Brent was nominated for membership to the National Residence Hall Honorary and is still currently a member. For the 08-09 school year he was also elected as the Pre-Med/Pre-Dent Secretary. He works in Simpson Library as well as the Emergency Room at Mary Washington Hospital, where his position is as a scribe as well as a Spanish interpretor when necessary. During the summer of 2008, Brent will be living in Tokyo, Japan for 5 weeks in a homestay language immersion program. Other hobbies include photography, swimming and piano.

Amanda Russell - ARH President
Amanda is a History major with a focus in Asian studies and will be graduating in Spring ‘09. She became the President of ARH because she loves dorm life and the opportunities it gives to students, and she loves putting on cool campus events. Amanda is currently trying to teach herself basic Mandarin Chinese and hopes to go into graphic design. She is also a member of the Spirit Committee.

Anum Shaikh - CSA President
A junior at UMW, double majoring in Biology and Psychology, with a concentration in Pre-Medicine, Anum is the Commuter Student Association President for the 2008-2009 school year. Besides running the CSA, she is involved in ISA as the Historian and the Pre-Med/Pre-Dent Society. She volunteers at the Moss Free Clinic and with Habitat for Humanity. Anum can speak quite a few languages, including Sindhi, Urdu, Arabic, Punjabi, and some Spanish, and her life-long goal is to become some sort of specialized doctor and work abroad in various countries.

Kasey Walker - Executive Coordinator
Kasey is a senior from Midlothian, Va. She is studying Psychology and working on her Masters in Elementary Education. In addition to her involvement in SGA, she serves on the Executive Board for Washington Guides, has been a member of Hall Council for three years, and is a member of the Student Services Committee, as well as an Orientation Leader. She is also the newly-elected Co-President of Kappa Delta Pi, which is the national honors society for educators. Outside of school, Kasey works at a summer camp for children with Autism, tutors in reading, and will be spending the upcoming summer working at an orphanage in Tanzania. Kasey has served as Executive Coordinator since the start of 2008, and is looking forward to continuing to build up school spirit through on-campus activities and student involvement.

Stephen Pierce - Treasurer
Stephen Pierce is a senior political science/history double major from Chantilly, Virginia. He is an avid soccer and football fan and also enjoys politics, history, concerts, traveling, photography, good conversation, snow, and being the best minion he can be.

Christina Giaimo - Secretary
Christina is a junior at the University of Mary Washington from Richmond, Virginia currently pursuing degrees in both Political Science and English Literature. She is an active member of the campus community looking forward to holding leadership positions in the Student Government Association, Student Senate, Academic Affairs Council and the Young Democrats next year. Christina is serving SGA’s Executive Cabinet as Secretary for the 2008-2009 school year, a position she also held last semester.

J.T. Newcomb - Press Secretary
JT Newcomb is a class of 2009 Political Science major from Williamsburg, Virginia. He is an active member of the Mary Washington cross country and track teams. He has also served on the Mercer and Willard Hall councils as well as the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

Kelly Wuyscik - Technology Coordinator
Kelly is a senior at Mary Washington from the great state of New Jersey, and is pursuing her undergraduate degree in History. For the 2008-2009 school year Kelly will be serving as the Technology Coordinator and Webmaster for the Student Government Association. Aside from her position in SGA, Kelly is also on the Executive Board for the Washington Guides, dances and choreographs for the Performing Arts Club, was the Vice President of Randolph Hall for the 2007-2008 school year and is also an Orientation Leader. Kelly will be spending the summer of 2008 interning at the Gagliardi Gallery in London, UK.

Joe Cirenza - Parliamentarian
Joe Cirenza is a fourth year student at the University of Mary Washington, majoring in both History and Geography. He assumes the position of SGA Parliamentarian for the 2008-2009 school year. His role in the SGA executive cabinet is maintaining the order and organization of meetings under Robert’s Rules and to accompany the school’s on-campus social organizations. Joe has worked two consecutive years as Willard Hall Vice President in order to improve student relations and environment in the residence hall. He is a member of the 2010 graduating class and is working on receiving his G.I.S. certificate in Geography. His goal for the upcoming year is to improve communications among the student body about upcoming events and important notifications.

Caitlin Varley - ICA President
Caitlin is a senior Psychology major from Stony Brook, New York. She is also in the 5 year elementary education program and plans to be an elementary school teacher following graduation. After two years of working in the Office of Student Activities and Community Service (OSACS), Caitlin decided to run for Inter-Club Assembly president in order to work with and advise clubs on a more personal level. Caitlin continues to work in OSACS, and is also an RA in Alvey Hall and a Washington Guide.

Natalie Weiner - Chairperson, Presidential Diversity and Unity Coordinating Committee

Natalie is serving as the Diversity and Unity Coordinating Committee Executive Chairperson. She is originally from Valencia, California and is a junior at UMW. She is also a Political Science major and serves as the President of the Young Democrats.
